Frequently Asked Questions
Whether you are new to sailing or a weathered old salt, we understand you may have some questions about our charters.
Below are some of our most commonly asked questions, but please feel free to email or call us with any questions you may have!
What should I bring?
All you really need is a bathing suit, towel, sunglasses, and sunscreen...we've got everything else you might need! The boat is ready with snorkel gear, flotation devices, open bar, snacks and gourmet lunch (on USVI full day sails). Please feel free to bring your own personal snorkel gear, waterproof camera, favorite snacks, specialty liquor or wine! Oh, did we mention that we are pet friendly? Please ask about bringing your furry friends aboard! Gratuity is customary in this industry and much appreciated by your hardworking crew!
I have never sailed, snorkeled, or been on a boat before...
No problem! We love to teach people about sailing and boating. We have personal flotation devices and our trained crew is ready to teach you the basics of snorkeling. Non-swimmers are welcome to sail with us too, although we please ask that you notify the captain of any non-swimmers in your group prior to departure.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you speak to us 24 hours prior to your scheduled departure we are happy to refund you.
We're arriving on a cruise ship, will we have time?
This depends on your ship's schedule. Please contact us and we will help you determine if your ship's schedule will allow time for a full day sail.
Do you welcome children?
Of course! We have life vests for children of all ages, from infant to adult. We have child sized masks, snorkels and fins, plus floats for non-snorkelers.
Where are you located and how do I get there?
We are located at Compass Point Marina on the east end of St. Thomas. We can arrange taxi service at your request. Driving south/west from Red Hook, make the first left after passing through the stop light. Follow this gravel/asphalt road until you reach Compass Point Marina. Driving east from the Bridge to Nowhere (just ask a local), pass Food Center grocery store on your left. As you climb the next hill, turn right on the asphalt road and follow it until it dead ends into Compass Point Marina. We will be waiting to greet you at the picnic table in front of "The Dive Bar" at the entrance to the marina.
